At the IAA fair in Hanover, DAF Trucks with its complete new generation of PACCAR engines, showed the way to Euro5 and beyond. The new 12.9-litre engines are truly ground-breaking in the fields of fuel economy, reliability, durability and performance, and are set to go into production in autumn 2005. Although the introduction timing has been geared to the introduction date for Euro 4, the MX engine has of course also been developed with a view to future, even stricter emission requirements.
