USTDS operates training facilities in Denver - Colorado, Colorado Springs - Colorado, Phoenix - Arizona, Rialto - California and Portland - Oregon. Recruits are prescreened for hire by Swift before they begin training. Swift will pay $150 per month as long as they continue working for Swift, up to the full amount of their tuition. Both companies agree that the need for good quality, yet inexpensive basic training is needed by the industry.
