Program Summary
Caddo Kiowa offers commercial truck and bus driver training. The program prepares qualified individuals to obtain their commercial driver’s license. In this program, students will receive classroom instruction, range and road driving, and practical application of skills used in highway driving.
Students will develop industry-acceptable skills in vehicle inspection, Department of Transportation rules and regulations, coupling and uncoupling, backing and docking maneuvers, space and speed management, safety practice, cargo handling, and customer relations. Caddo Kiowa is in the process of developing an on site truck driving range.
Truck drivers drive trucks of all types and sizes to transport materials and finished products from one place to another. Truck drivers make either long-distance or local runs.
