D & L Tractor Trailer School
A Message From the President
The trucking industry is richly steeped in pride and tradition. Its history can be traced to the pioneers crossing the deserts and plains of the west in covered wagons to start a new life in an untamed part of America called the New Frontier. This same spirit of exploration was carried on by the first true truckmen at the beginning of the motorized age as they crisscrossed over America's dirt roads to deliver their cargo to the growing towns and cities. Today's modern truckers possess that same true grit to haul America's products from Maine to California. As you begin your training at D&L in Bridgeport, Connecticut, you will become part of the heritage that was created by your pioneering ancestors. At the completion of your training, when you have earned your certificate of completion and CDL license, you will be responsible for carrying this tradition well into the new millennium. The trucking industry will continue to be the master link in the chain of supplying and delivering cargo to build a stronger future for America. It will be up to you to carry on this tradition and keep it alive.
