Requirements For Admission:
Applicant must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid class A-CDL permit or license, meet minimum health, physical, and drug screen requirements for commercial driving as specified by Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and furnish school with a print-out of driving record. (Driving record information may be obtained through your State Division of Motor Vehicles.)
Commercial Vehicle Driving
The mission of this program is to prepare students for employment as truck drivers, tractor-trailer drivers and heavy truck drivers or to provide training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.
The content includes communication skills, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, operation of large semi truck tractor vehicles, loading and unloading cargo, reporting delays or accidents on the road, verifying load against shipping papers and keeping records.
Driving range activities are an integral part of this program and provide instruction in loading, backing and maneuvering both on practice field and on public roads and highways with other traffic.
Our Instructors have a combined total of 93 years of driver training experience.
